Andy Cohen forays into the wide world of sports (charities.)
Last night was nuts. It started at a taping of The Approval Matrix, which airs tonight at 11 after a great episode of Top Chef. The Matrix is based on the backpage of New York Magazine, where the week's pop culture events are placed into four quadrants by our hilarious, smart, awesome team of host Faith Salie, SNL writer Jessie Klien, comedian Sherrod Small, and Broadway actor John Hill. I'm really excited about this show because it's witty and fresh and fun; and Fred Armisen is the guest. Let me know what you think.
After the Matrix taping, I high-tailed it to the Metropolitan Pavilian for Daniel Vosovic's fashion show. Daniel is a great guy and fantastic designer. His show was super-chic and I was happy to see bigtime fashionistas like Adam Glassman from O Magazine in the front row. Daniel deserves big success.
From there we went to Gotham Hall for Casino Night with the New York Rangers to benefit their Garden of Dreams foundation. On our way in we ran smack into Jill Zarin who was on her way to a party celebrating her new line of Spanx-like undergarments. We promised to meet her there later. Casino Night was a total blast, and of course when you're gambling for charity you bet big and win big. So I was wishing it was for my charity, but it was all made good by the fact that we were at the blackjack table all night with Rangers like Brian Boyle, who is a dead ringer for Superman. Boyle is actually better than Superman.
Also hung out with the "Real Housewives of the NY Rangers," as we called them. The girlfriends and fiances are awesome and I can't imagine what their lives are like. And we canoodled with Ranger Superstar Henrik Lundqvist and my buddy Sean Avery. Avery is always talked about for his love of fashion, great looks, and mouth that often gets him into trouble. I plan to put his mouth to use in a few weeks when he appears on Watch What Happens: Live with an OC Housewife. Be afraid and excited, I am.
We indeed headed from there to Jill's party for her undergarments, where we ran into many Zarins and Sonja Morgan, who seemed to have her own photographer with her. That lady is a pistol. You are gonna LOL at the new season of NYC Wives. And yes, it is coming very soon -- I promise.
Let me know what you think of Top Chef and The Approval Matrix tonight!
