Christine "Bugsy" Drake Is Finally Sharing All of Her Top Tablescape Tips

From a rustic fall setting to a diamond-filled display and everything in between, Christine "Bugsy" Drake has become known for her ability to transform any meal into an unforgettable experience with the most gorgeous, thematic tablescapes. Now, the Below Deck Mediterranean yachtie is sharing all of her tips in her debut book, The Art of Tablescaping: Deck Out Your Table with the Queen of Theme.

"HERE IT IS!!! I listened to all of you and now I have a book," Bugsy wrote in a recent Instagram post. "I’m ecstatic! I am so incredibly proud to share my passion with the world! I am beyond grateful to everyone who has been involved in helping me bring my vision to life.. You have all been a massive part of this journey, whether I know you or not! I love you all!!!"

According to its description, the book features "step-by-step instructions for building your own enchanting events" and "is packed full of inventive ideas and design hacks, on-the-job stories and lessons learned." As seen in Bugsy's Instagram photo, the foreword to the book was written by Captain Sandy Yawn. 

While the book is sure to feature a ton of detailed guides to creating gorgeous tables, Bugsy, who the New York Times called "perhaps the greatest tablescape artist who has ever lived," has also been offering her Instagram followers a bit of advice on the subject in recent months. In September 2020, she shared her "top 3 tips to create the perfect setting to WOW" which included "playing with different Colors," "use of different textures," and "use of different levels& heights." She also included a bonus tip for evening settings, "Incorporating candles/fairy lights."

Later that same month, Bugsy hinted at her forthcoming book when a follower commented on an Instagram post, "You should write a Table Decor book," to which she replied, "Watch this space."
