Captain Sandy Yawn loves almost everything about the ocean — besides lobster. Believe it or not, the Below Deck Mediterranean boss lists the crustacean as a delicacy she simply doesn't dig, and you can chalk that up to overexposure.
When chatting with The Feast about all things food recently, Sandy explained: "I'm not a lobster fan because when I started early in my years, when I started working on boats, we had lobster and shrimp every day. And I just was over lobster." That's why it surprised Sandy herself to report that the single best meal she's had aboard a charter is ... lobster!
"I had a chef, she's Persian — Salomeh Afshinpuor — she made a lobster dinner and she's like, please take a bite, captain. I'm like I hate lobster. And I ate it... and I actually loved her lobster. I was like oh my God! Her lobster was so good, and I do not like lobster," Sandy said.
Impressive feat, chef! More impressive, evidently, than El Paso taco shells.
