Here’s Why a Cake Has One Below Deck Sailing Yacht Cast Member Saying “F-ck My Life”
A sweet moment on Below Deck Sailing Yacht took a turn when a “beautiful” cake caused an expletive-filled moment.
While a lot can go wrong when it comes to meal service during a charter season, there are two dishes that tend to cause an inexplicable amount of drama across the Below Deck franchise: eggs and cake.
The most recent incident occurred on Season 4 Episode 11 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht when a miscommunication over a cake led to an expletive-filled moment from one of the yachties.
Let's back up: Before the charter guests arrived on the June 12 episode, Captain Glenn Shephard, chief stew Daisy Kelliher, and chef Ileisha Dell met for their preference sheet meeting. In addition to requesting a "Caribbean meal, including but not limited to oxtail, brown stewed chicken with sautéed vegetables, [and] fried Johnny cakes," Daisy noted the guests had a special way they wanted to finish their first dinner on board Parsifal III, with a "birthday cake with custard filling and tropical fruits."
Although Ileisha was initially a bit nervous about pulling off the dinner, the guests were thrilled with their meal — and the sweet treat. "That cake was beautiful," one declared, while another added, "She can cook, she can bake." The praise didn't end there, with another guest stating, "This is the best birthday cake I've ever had." However, the sweet moment soon took a turn.
Inside the Cake Drama on Below Deck Sailing Yacht
When the night was winding down, Daisy asked Ileisha if she could put the remainder of the cake out for the crew so it wouldn't go to waste. "[The guests are] not going to want anymore, are they?" Chase Lemacks asked, to which Daisy quickly responded, "No, Chase. It's OK."
Ileisha wasn't quite convinced. "What if they do ask for more?" she asked, to which Chase shrugged and noted, "I brought it up." With that, Chase quickly started to dig into the dessert with Daisy, shortly before a guest asked Mads Herrera for, you guessed it, more cake.
"F-ck my life," Mads said as she ran to the galley. "No one had better have touched that f-king cake."
After realizing that the crew had, in fact, touched the cake, Mads and Ileisha looked at the one small slice they had left.
The episode then ended on a cliffhanger, so tune into Episode 12 on June 19 to see how they solved the cake problem.
