Crazy Cute Bridal Party Swag For All Those #Squad Photos You're Going to Post
From beach to brunch, these bridal party getups are sure to get your gals together and get the party started.
If you asked me two years ago what I thought of the whole bridal party swag trend, I might have audibly scoffed. You know the craze. We all have that one recently married friend whose wedding hashtag ushered in heavily filtered photos of her and her squad in coordinating racerback tanks, hers reading “Drunk In Love” the rest of the crew’s, “Just Drunk.” While I do appreciate a well-timed Beyonce reference, I just couldn’t get behind the whole matchy-matchy, sorority-sisters-all-grown-up thing... until last summer.
As I coiffed and sprayed myself in preparation for a dear girlfriend’s bachelorette party, the maid of honor squealed while returning from her suitcase with a plastic bag full of glittering sashes and oversized pins declaring ourselves the #BRIDESQUAD. My stomach sunk. “How lame,” I whined internally as my brand new just-for-this-occasion romper was tainted by a saucer sized pin. As we stepped out of the cab, buzzing and hopped up on complimentary hotel room Champagne, I tried casually to obstruct the dollar-store atrocity with my clutch as the leader of our pack bravely stomped to the front of the too-posh-to-name club. With one look at our getups, the bouncer dutifully waved us in, leaving the snaking line behind us in our wake. When we got inside, it wasn’t one Ariana Grande song before we were happily perched next to a sparkler-topped bottle of something pricey, compliments of the house. And when my bridal bestie jumped up at the first beat of her favorite song, the dance floor parted for us as if we were royalty. I. Was. Stunned. Who knew being a part of a #BRIDESQUAD came with so much power???
