Hollywood Cougars Who Found True Love With a Much, Much Younger Partner

It's not always older man, younger woman.

These cougars caught (and trapped) their prey.

When Mary Tyler Moore passed away last week at the age of 80, her publicist announced that by her bedside was husband Dr. Robert Levine, 15 years her junior. They had been married for over thirty years and met when Moore’s mother became ill with bronchitis in 1982. According to People, Levine told Moore to get in touch with him if an emergency arose and she answered, “Does acute loneliness count?” The two wed a year later when she was 45 and he was 30.

Hollywood is long used to older men marrying much younger women but there are a few examples of the genders being reversed.

TV legend Carol Burnett, 83 has been happily married to Brian Miller, principal drummer and contractor of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra since 2001. Age difference? 23 years.

“Dynasty” baddie Joan Collins wed her fifth husband Percy Gibson in 2002 when she was 69 and he was 37. In 2015 Collins gushed that Gibson was her fifth husband, “and my happiest and last. Percy is wonderful, he’s my soulmate. That doesn’t mean we don’t bicker but we are very understanding of each other.

When Aussie actress Deborra-Lee Furness starred opposite Hugh Jackman in the 1995 TV series “Correlli,” she was the bigger star. The couple wed a year later when the “Wolverine” star was 28 and his bride was 41. She suffered two miscarriages before they went on to adopt two children. Jackman gushes about his wife at nearly every opportunity telling Ellen DeGeneres last year, “She’s the greatest thing that ever happened to me and it gets better and better.”

In 2000 Megan Mullally was riding high playing Karen Walker in “Will & Grace,” when she met an unknown actor named Nick Offerman while doing a play in L.A. She was 42 and he was 30. Of course Nick went onto his small screen success as Ron Swanson in “Parks and Recreation.” The pair wed three years later and their favorite thing to do together is listen to the radio and tackle giant jigsaw puzzles. Their age difference doesn’t bother them at all. Megan says, “Nick has said he would divorce me if I got Botox.”

“Two and a Half Men” star Holland Taylor, 74 is happily dating Sarah Paulson who is 32 years her junior. The two met about a decade ago when Paulson, 42, was dating Tony winning actress Cherry Jones, 60. Sarah told the New York Times that the attraction on her end was electric. A few years later they ran into each other, started following each other on Twitter, before going on a dinner date and now they’re madly in love. “I’m the luckiest person in the world,” Taylor gushed on Sirius. “I can’t talk about my life today and not mention this wonderful love.”

“Fifty Shades of Grey” director Sam Taylor-Johnson met her future hubby Aaron Taylor-Johnson on the set of "Nowhere Boy" when she was 42 and he was 18. The two wed in 2012 and are parents to two daughters.

Of course not all of these relationships end up happily ever after.

Who can forget it when Demi Moore married Ashton Kutcher in 2005 when she was 43 and he was 27? The two split in 2013 amid rumors that Kutcher had shared a raucous night with a San Diego girl called Sara Leal (who it turns out was dating Scott Eastwood at the time).

Of course Ashton bounced back quickly with “That 70s Show” co-star Mila Kunis. They now share two children together.
