Sold! Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are on the move now that Josh Altman and Matt Altman have sold their famous Bel Air mansion. News broke this week that the couple sold the pad for a cool $17.8 million, nearly doubling their profits after buying the home for $9 million back in 2013. And Josh explained to The Daily Dish why everyone is buzzing about the sale.

"It's such a big deal for many reasons across the board," the Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles agent said, citing the fact that the sale was "shattering every record in the history of Bel Air Crest [neighborhood] by millions" as a reason he was so stoked about the transaction.

The 9,000-square-foot home includes six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and a truly Kimye-minimalist aesthetic. And given the home's modern vibe, Josh knew there might be a few hurdles to overcome to make sure the right owner picked it up. "Look, I knew it was going to be difficult. I knew that what's special about this house if you really think about it, it's the first Kim and Kanye collaboration of a piece of real estate ever and that's available for the public to purchase," he said. "So you could look at it as these are two visionaries. You've got trendsetting, envelope-pushing superstars that built this themselves. They didn't care what anyone else thought. And this for the first time ever, this piece of art is available to purchase and it's really worth what somebody's willing to pay for it."

When it came time to putting it on the market, Josh and Matt kept the listing private and only let select buyers in on the fact that it was available. They had the listing for a couple of months when the right buyer, Marina Acton, a Silicon Valley-based entrepreneur and philanthropist, came along. And Kim was on hand to offer up a tour of the home to Acton, which certainly must have been a nice touch. "It was cool hearing why they did all this and where the studio was gonna go because they were gonna put a studio in there," Josh said of Kim serving as the home's tour guide. "And it all helped. It doesn't suck to get a tour from Kim Kardashian of her house when you're looking to buy it."

Some fans might be surprised to hear that Kim and Kanye wanted to sell the house considering, as Varietyreports, they spent two years putting their stamp on the home. As for Josh, well, he says, "I wasn't surprised. They're super savvy when it comes to real estate."
