This Celebrity Kid Is Now A Marc Jacobs Model
She's basically the heiress of grunge.
Marc Jacobs doesn't cast the usual models. Sure, he's had Bella and Kendall walk his runways. But, Marc has also featured musicians, actresses, and even his dog in campaign images. And now, the designer has tapped Frances Bean Cobain—Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain's 24-year-old daughter—to model for his spring 2017 collection.
Marc announced the partnership in an Instagram post featuring a black-and-white image of Frances. In a sequined baby-doll dress and hair that makes her look like she just sprang out of bed, the young model is a perfect throwback to her famous mom.
Though she's led a relatively quiet life, Frances isn't a newbie to the fashion scene. She's known Marc Jacobs since she was barely old enough to walk, for starters. "I first met Frances Bean when she was 2 years old at a dinner with her mom (Courtney) and Anna Sui in 1994 at Bar Six in NYC," the designer wrote on social yesterday. And, she and mom have sat front row at shows for Givenchy, Chanel, and more.
As celeb offspring continue to conquer the fashion world, Frances isn't the only famous mini-me inspiring Marc. Kaia Gerber, Cindy Crawford's stunning daughter, is the face of Marc Jacobs Beauty for spring.
