The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills former cast member Yolanda Hadid has said that her Lyme Disease caused her divorce from ex-husband David Foster. Now her ex is sharing his thoughts on the end of their marriage.
The 67-year-old music producer spoke with Entertainment Tonight at the Grammy Museum’s third annual gala in Los Angeles. “We just always did our best,” he stated. “We had some other issues as well, but everybody’s in a good place now. The main thing is that she’s healthy and in remission. She worked really hard at it and now she’s reaping the rewards of that.”
Yolanda, the mother of supermodels Gigi and Bella, has been very candid about the demise of her four-year marriage to David. The news of their divorce went public in December 2015. In March 2016, she explained how illness can wreak havoc on a couple on Dr. Oz. "The patient suffers, but the caretakers suffer too. Because life doesn't only change for us, it changes for the person next to you," Yolanda shared.
Yolanda has published her first book, Believe Me: My Battle with the Invisible Disability of Lyme Disease which discusses the disease and how it affected all aspects of her life. It’s one that hasn’t been on David’s reading list.
“I haven’t read the book,” he revealed. “But she seems to be doing great. She’s healthy and living back east and happy and her kids are doing great, so it’s good.”
While Yolanda reportedly received no spousal support from her ex, David has allegedly provided her with a healthy settlement.
