George and Amal Clooney, Flying With Twins, Plied Fellow Passengers With Headphones
A strategic gesture in more ways than one.
Let's say you're just casually boarding a commercial plane, minding your own business. And then you see George and Amal Clooney get on board with their infant twins. Prooooobably your first thought in that case would not be, "Ugh, are these babies going to cry the whole time?" But just in case, the famous parents entered into that real-world situation armed with an accommodation.
Yes, George and Amal Clooney gave out headphones to passengers on their flight as a ways of apologizing ahead of time for the noise their six-month-old twins, Ella and Alexander, might make in the air.
According to Page Six, the couple gave everyone in business class a pair of Casamigos tequila-branded noise-canceling headphones ahead of a long-haul flight across the pond. Clooney co-founded the popular tequila brand, so yes — the accommodating gesture also came with a bit of marketing.
Nonetheless, Page Six's stealthy source said the Clooneys move was merely extra cautious — because the twins "didn't make a peep."
Earlier this year, a blogger was booted from first class to the back of the plane on a Delta flight after passengers complained about her crying baby on board — and the fear of a similar situation likely inspired the Clooneys to enter the cabin armed with the freebies.
