On Thursday, March 14, Joe Giudice was officially released from prison after serving a 41-month sentence after pleading guilty to mail, wire, and bankruptcy fraud charges in 2014. He began his sentence in March 2016 and his attorney, James J. Leonard Jr., confirmed to The Daily Dish that he has since been moved "to a facility in western Pennsylvania which houses immigration detainees." He also addressed the ongoing deportation case connected to the matter.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 premiere May 5th at 8/7c on Bravo and stream next day on Peacock.

Joe, who was born in Italy, is currently waiting for a decision to be made in connection to an appeal filed by his team after a judge ruled in October 2018 that he be deported back to Italy upon the completion of his sentence. Their appeal was filed in November 2018, and in his lawyer's statement to The Daily Dish on Thursday, it was noted that, “His lawyers and his family are hopeful that justice will prevail and Mr. Guidice will return home to his wife and four daughters who love him and miss him.”

His wife, Teresa Giudice, addressed his possible deportation during The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 9 reunion, in which she confirmed that she is working hard to keep her family together in the wake of the court's decision last fall.

"Yeah, it's just a lot to deal with, my children, what's gonna happen with him, it's a lot. And listen, everyone makes mistakes, but to get deported, that's so sad," she told Andy Cohen during the reunion. "So I'm doing everything I can. I'm spending all this money, I'm appealing it, like everything. Like, whatever has to be done, I'm doing it. I'll fight to the end. That's what I'm doing."
