The RHONJ Season 9 Finale Offered an Update on Joe Giudice's Deportation Ruling
Here's the latest on Teresa Giudice's husband's post-prison situation.
Last October, a judge ruled that The Real Housewives of New Jersey husband, Joe Giudice, would be deported back to Italy following his 41-month prison term, which he is currently serving at FCI Allenwood in Pennsylvania. Weeks later, in November, Joe's legal team filed an appeal in connection with the ruling and it was confirmed in the RHONJ Season 9 finale on Wednesday (February 13) that Joe, Teresa Giudice, and their family are still waiting to hear back on that appeal filing.
"The appeal has been filed and we remain optimistic that Joe will soon be home with his family where he belongs. We are extremely grateful for Joe's immigration attorneys Jerry Gonzales and Tom Moseley and are very confident in them," attorney James Leonard Jr. told E! News in a statement back in November, weeks after the initial ruling on his deportation was made.
Page Six added at the time that it could take several months for an answer to be made on the appeal. Joe is currently serving out his sentence in connection with mail, wire, and bankruptcy fraud charges, a sentence which he began in March 2016.
Below, Teresa offers some more insight into their current family situation.
