Dr. Jackie Walters Shares an Update on Her Major Home Renovation
The Married to Medicine doctor has moved past the most painful stage of fixing up her home.
Earlier this month, Dr. Jackie Walters described the home renovation process as "painful," and she questioned why she even decided to do it in the first place.
“Renovations are so painful," she said in an Instagram post. "Why did I decide to tackle a whole house?” she questioned alongside a video showing the extensive work, which includes a massive addition. “It’s all coming together… slowly, but it’s coming together."
Part of the pain has been that she has actually been living in the house while it's being fixed up.
"The hardest part about renovating my home is living in my home and renovating my home," she told BravoTV.com recently. "I get to see everything. I get to see things they don’t do. I get to see when they leave early. I get to see when they leave Coca-Cola bottles in the wall. Yes. I get to look out at the port-a-potty that’s out of my house. Yeah. You cannot imagine. It’s painful.”
It's been a few weeks and things are moving along — and now Dr. Jackie is much happier!
"Don’t u just love renovations! -Nah," she wrote in a new Instagram post as a caption to a video showing off the current state of the outside. "It sure has put a smile on my face to finally start to see the two sides come together! This has been an Adventure! I never knew how much this could stretch (I don’t call it stressful) One!"
In the video, she adds, "Phase two is in full effect. Phase one is in full effect. And phase three is on the inside. It's going to be really nice when we see it, but right now, this is what I have."
Looking good, Dr. Jackie! May the rest of the renovation process continue to make you smile and not stress!
