Mary, Monika, and No Sense of Humor
Kathryn marvels at Mary's grace, laments Monika's seriousness, and worries there's trouble in JAM's paradise.
How come Mary always looks so chic and well turned out? She's as well polished as her rooms! I'm so glad I'm not the only one with a difficult client. Although thin and pretty, Monika has little sense of humor. . .and little trust in Mary. It's never easy working from afar, but Mary does a great job of dealing with her somewhat tricky clients, and even though I understand Monika wanting a neutral palette to show off her cloths, Mary's mauve is a triumph: a modern edge on Hollywood galmore circa 1940. . .
I loved seeing Michael on camera. He's really a natural, with a great sense of humor, fun, and joie de vivre. You would have to have those qualities, living with Martyn! I feel for Michael; why change that stunning living room? But rather like me, when something is perfect, it's time for change.
I've spent many a night in Martyn's living room with red curtains, and now, having seen the more somber re-model, it's ravishing, and I don't miss the old.
Jeffrey and Ross. . .where is this going??? Is there a trace of jealousy? Will Ross ever return? What was Jeffrey's problem with the chair fabric? (I didn't mind it.) Maybe it was his way of showing his annoyance at Ross's trip, and leaving Jeffrey to deal with the job without him. . .Hard to tell.
Anyway, let's see how it all ends up next week. They are such a cute, great couple I do hope there's no trouble in paradise. . .
