Josh Flagg Home Update

When Josh Flagg and his husband, Bobby Boyd, set out to build their dream home back in the summer of 2018, they certainly didn’t foresee the myriad hiccups they’d face along the way. In fact, early on, Josh was giddy over how fast things were moving in the gut renovation of the 4,565-square-foot Beverly Hills estate, which he purchased for $5.9 million. "The Boyd Flagg residence: the fastest rebuild in the history of man. Coming to a theater near you soon," he said in an Instagram in late 2018. "This may be the biggest crew in the history of man."

Flash forward 13 months or so… and the couple still isn’t living in their “dream home.” According to a recent interview that Josh posted to Instagram, he and Bobby were actually accosted by a ghost in the house! So, they ripped out the walls and brought in an energy expert to do a cleansing on the home. “We had some bad juju in our new home so @therealestatewitch came by to cleanse the land and bring some good energy. Architectural Digest, here we come,” Josh said in a recent Instagram post, adding in another, “Standing in front of the bones of our 'dream home' and contemplating living in a hotel instead.

And as of the new year… it would seem the Boyd-Flaggs are still displaced! Alongside a photo of him taking calls at a white-table-cloth restaurant, Josh wrote, “Some people have a home office, but I on the other hand have a hard line installed at the Polo Lounge.” We’re going to file this under funny/not funny, mmmk?

In another update, Josh shared an image of himself pouring over an architectural rendering. “Want to hear a joke about @bboydla and I building a house? Never mind. It still needs some work.”

Sounds like Josh is still trying to keep a sense of humor about the many road blocks they’ve faced during this process — here’s hoping the newlyweds can move into their new abode in 2020!
