Ryan & Emilia Give an Update on Their $7.6M Brooklyn Home's Renovation
Nearly two years after buying the townhouse, the Million Dollar Listing New York couple is still upgrading the interior.
When Ryan Serhant and his wife, Emilia Bechrakis Serhant, purchased their $7.6 million Brooklyn townhouse back in September 2018, it seemed as if the couple would shortly be moving into the sprawling 7,670-square-foot abode. But Ryan had other plans! “The house is perfect, we can move in as is,” the Million Dollar Listing New York power broker told BravoTV.com during a tour of the home (watch the full video above). “But I’m gonna renovate it. Maybe extend some of the outdoor space in the back, make a gym downstairs, and then I want to redo the floors and some things, ya know, just make it our own.”
It turns out that “just making it our own” takes quite a bit of time. In an update last fall, Ryan showed the home’s demolition, saying, “Our little cosmetic renovation now requires a daily crew of 12 and harnesses... Something tells us that this renovation is neither cosmetic nor little!”
This week Emilia gave her social media followers another update on the home’s progress, and, um, there’s no end in sight. “Zena took her first steps in her Brooklyn neighborhood and up our stoop,” she captioned a photo of Ryan holding his daughter amid a construction site. “Not sure when we will ever move in but it’s something beautiful to look forward to.”
We don’t know about y’all, but we can’t wait to see the finished product!
