Mandy Moore Proves Orange-Red Lipstick Is the Perfect Way to Brighten Up This Winter

You know you're curious about that gorgeous, bright lip.

By Jenny Berg

Mandy Moore showed her support for the Time's Up movement by wearing black on the red carpet at the 2018 Golden Globes. (Not just ordinary black, mind you: the star's stunning dress was by Rosie Assoulin.) But, Moore still found plenty of room to play with color via her striking beauty look.

Working with makeup artist Matin, the This is Us talent turned heads with a look that balanced perfectly bronzed skin and subtly shimmering eyes with a bold lip. To cap it all off, stylist Ashley Streicher gave the actress a sleek chignon that emphasized her classic beauty.

Want to recreate the look for your next big event? (Or, uh, for your next Tuesday?) Take a peek at the exact products both beauty pros used on Moore's skin, face, eyes, lips, and hair below! Spoiler alert: most of these products are refreshingly affordable.

Skin

To get Moore ready to glow, Matin prepped her skin with Charlotte Tilbury's Instant Magic Facial Dry Sheet. After the sheet worked its hydrating and brightening magic, the artist applied Charlotte's Magic Cream all over Moore's face, neck, and shoulders; he then dabbed on the new Brightening Youth Glow to add a little extra wattage.

Face

Once Moore's skin was tight and bright, Matin dabbed the soon-to-launch Hollywood Flawless Filter to her cheekbones and the high points of her face. Knowing that his star client would be photographed from all angles on the red carpet, he also applied some of the potion on her back and shoulders. Next, he made her skin tone perfectly even with Magic Foundation, and used the Hollywood Contour Wand to add some definition. A little Cheek to Chic Blusher in Ecstasy added a flush to the apples of Moore's cheeks, and Airbrush Flawless Finish powder helped tamp down any unwanted shine.

Eyes

For Moore's smoldering gaze, Matin framed her eyes with the Colour Chameleon in Golden Quartz, and applied the smoky shade to her entire lid. He also used shadows from The Luxury Palette in The Dolce Vita, and gave her fluttery lashes a boost with Full Fat Lashes in Glossy Black.

Lips

For a beautiful, orange-red pout, Moore wore Hollywood Lips Matte Liquid Lipstick in Walk of Fame.

Hair

Streicher leaned on Garnier Fructis products to keep Moore's hair looking smooth and sleek throughout the long broadcast — and for the after-parties. The stylist used Smooth Style Blow Dry Anti-Frizz Cream before blow-drying the actress' locks. Next, Streicher sprayed Moore's hair with Full-Control Anti-Humidity Aerosol Spray, and finished the look off with Style Pixie Play Crafting Cream. Pro tip: before Moore headed out the door, Streicher used a toothbrush to tame fly-aways using a dab more of the aerosol spray.
