Kourtney Kardashian's New (Maybe) Boyfriend Isn't Even Old Enough to (Legally) Drink?! (UPDATED)

She's 39. He's 20. You do the math.

By Marianne Garvey

UPDATE (Sept. 21, 2018, 5:55pm) It seems like that 'maybe' may be able to be removed. An insider told Us Weekly that the eldest Kardashian sister and her new beau have been "inseparable," adding "Kourtney and Luka are exclusive and are edging toward becoming boyfriend and girlfriend ... They say they’re taking it slow, but they’re moving faster than that in actuality."

The original story continues below.

Welp, today a bombshell was delivered in Kardashian news. (Every day there's one, but this one's good.)

According to Page Six, Kourtney Kardashian is “bouncing back from her younger model ex Younes Bendjima, 25, with an even younger catwalker.”

Even younger? Oh yes.

Sources say Kourtney’s fallen for 20-year-old Luka Sabbat, who’s been a friend of the family for some time.

“Kourtney and Luka are dating. They flew into Chicago together over the weekend and were hanging out. He’s been a family friend for years, and they really like him. She likes young boys!” the source said.

The two “canoodled” at the grand-opening bash for the Found Hotel Chicago. “They were holding hands and smiling by the DJ booth. She seemed very into him and happy. They left together,” the source said.

A few reasons older women go for younger men:

Psychology Today brings up an interesting point about what Kourtney could be thinking.

"Many women who have reached an above-average level of success in their careers grew up in a time when there weren’t that many women in positions of great leadership or authority. Until the last decade, there have been far less female CEOs or women in high-level managerial positions," PT reports.

"What is also powerfully influential are the ever increasing and empowering lead roles created for women in movies, on TV, and through infinite social media forums. Through the years many have watched, or already understood their mothers and sisters to have a powerful say in how they regard women. Though a gender gap most certainly remains, there are many, many more women in positions of leadership, who do not back down from challenges, who compete in many of the same fields as men, and who work side by side with men. Today's younger men have had the opportunity to grow up seeing these powerful women – it’s been a more regular part of their experience in everyday life. Because many women work full-time and raise families it enables men who have grown up with this norm to feel less threatened by female success."

One study found that older women opt for younger men for the same reasons that older men select younger women (give it a think.)

“The mentality of having a youthful person on your arm who makes you feel good, who makes you feel ageless, makes you feel desired and desirable,” says the report.

Relationship expert April Masini weighs in to Personal Space about Kourtney's new guy.

"There is no problem with Kourtney Kardashian dating younger men," she says. "In fact, this is a woman doing what older men have always done, historically — finding pleasure in dating younger women."

Good point!

"She’s turned the tables — and why not? There’s no sense that she’s taking advantage of these guys. She likes them because they’re energetic, and they appreciate the worldly experience and resources she brings to the table," Masini adds. "She’s got money, family, she’s had her kids and doesn’t have a biological clock ticking the way someone without kids might have one, she has plenty of dating experience and isn’t necessarily looking for someone to marry, and she seems to really enjoy the company of younger men. She’s looking for fun, fitness, uncomplicated companionship — and she’s found it all in these younger men."

Masini adds that people don’t use the term “cougar” anymore, when referring to older women dating younger men, because it’s not so much a big deal.

"When you expand your vision of who’s right for you, you find opportunity and possibly 'the one' — or in Kourtney's case, 'the ones,' I say, go for it. Be kind and enjoy life."
