Everything We Know About Winona Ryder’s *Actual* BF of 8 Years
Winona Ryder and fashion designer Scott Mackinlay Hahn have reportedly been dating since 2011.
Winona Ryder is not yet ready to let anyone forget her marriage to Keanu Reeves — and neither are we. It all went down in 1992 on the set of Dracula, and she's still not shy talking about how much she loves her "husband," promising that she "will not give him a divorce."
However, it turns out she has another boyfriend, and she’s been dating this man who is not named Keanu Reeves for quite a while now — but they tend to keep things out of the public eye.
That's simply not good enough for us, so here’s what our fact-finding mission uncovered:
His name is Scott Mackinlay Hahn — and he’s (probably) younger than she is.
While we searched for his exact birthday, several unconfirmed sources report he was (likely) born in 1980, making him nine-ish years younger than 47-year-old Winona Ryder. He does give off some serious silver fox vibes in the rare pics we could find of him, but it still seems plausible from looking at the recent photo of the couple above that he's around 40. According to the Daily Mail, they've been together since 2011, but have kept a very low profile as she made her acting comeback in Stranger Things, which premiered in 2016.
He’s a veteran fashion designer *and* has some big-name friends and clients.
Hahn co-founded the (now-defunct) brand ROGAN with Rogan Gregory and teamed up with Gregory again to create the label Egun (often mis-cited as "Egan") alongside U2's Bono and his wife Ami. In 2004, he co-founded (the still-in-business) Loomstate sustainable apparel brand, once again with Gregory. In a 2012 interview with TIME, Hahn explains the motivation behind the company and that they created uniforms for Chipotle, which helped the fashion label grow their organic cotton business and the food company continue their sustainable food movement.
He stays mostly out of the spotlight — but there are some exceptions.
Hahn did make recent public appearances with Ryder for the latest season of Stranger Things — and rumors have floated around that she would in fact get married again to him one day. All speculation aside, Ryder told Net-a-Porter's The Edit (in 2016) that she'd rather not marry if she could later get divorced. "Not that there’s anything wrong with divorce, but I don’t think I could do it if that was a possibility," Ryder explained. "When your parents are madly in love for 45 years, your standards are really high. But I’ve been happily with someone for quite a while now."
So, while we've been (foolishly) hoping that person was Keanu Reeves, it seems much more likely that the "someone" she mentioned is actually Hahn instead.
