If you've watched Southern Charm — and I’m guessing if you clicked on this story, you absolutely do — then Patricia Altschul’s butler Michael Kelcourse has certainly charmed the pants off you. (Pun intended!) Always quick with a retort and an affable chuckle, Michael makes a mean martini and is also willing to opine on the town’s salacious gossip… but only when asked. He’s the best friend we’re all longing for!

But the real question is, where exactly does Michael reside? Is he a tenant of Patricia’s historic manse, the Isaac Jenkins Mikell House? Does the queen of the south have access to Michael 24/7? Luckily, she stopped by Home & Design HQ recently, and we got to the bottom of the issue.

“Yeah, there’s a cottage on the property, right behind my house. It’s a beautiful — I think it’s a 1799 cottage — it looks like an Irish cottage. And I restored it and he lives there happily," she told us.

Well, there you have it, folks. Case closed. And in the event you were worried that poor Michael is overworked, fear not, because Patricia also disclosed how many staffers she employs. (FYI: It’s a lot!)
