Leva Bonaparte Opens Up About Owning Restaurants with Her Husband Lamar
The new Southern Charm cast member described teaming up with her husband to bring "Miami and New York to Charleston."
Leva Bonaparte and her husband, Lamar, have found great success mixing business with pleasure.
"My husband and I are business husband and wife in Charleston. We are restaurateurs. We're a little well-known," the new Southern Charm cast member said during the show's November 5 episode. "When we opened Republic, it was a huge success. I'm talking like line up around the block and it's still the 'it' spot in Charleston. Then Bourbon N' Bubbles is our high-end lounge on King Street and then you continue down the block where we parked Mesu and we are in the process of opening a high-end sports bar."
"We wanted to bring Miami and New York to Charleston," she added. "So we built it and they came."
As Leva spoke about her relationship with Lamar, she made it clear that she feels she has met her perfect match both personally and professionally. "On my 29th birthday, I went out and I met Lamar. I felt like I met a wolf I could run with. We built things together, we were inspired together," she said. "I find his intelligence and creativity so attractive, like, it's a sustainable sexy and I'm pretty sure he finds the same thing with me."
In the video above, Leva gave BravoTV.com a tour of Bourbon N' Bubbles and shared exclusive details about how the stunning space came together. “All the marble and everything we imported into the space was brought in from Italy,” she said. “People who know me know I'm a big lighting buff, so these chandeliers we brought in from the U.K. to me felt almost like a bourbon glass ... Everyone knows our establishments have great lighting."
