Patricia Altschul Reveals She Hasn't Done Her Own Hair in "60 Years" (VIDEO)
The Southern Charm matriarch dished about some of her notable spending habits, including her haircare.
Patricia Altschul has a beautiful signature blowout, and she works with a stylist that Southern Charm viewers know and love. Madison LeCroy has long been the secret behind Patricia's gorgeous head of hair, but has Patricia ever done her own hair? The art collector answers that in the clip above.
Patricia has spilled some of her beauty secrets before. In 2021, she revealed her best skincare and beauty advice while answering a series of queries on her Instagram Stories. When one follower asked Patricia how she “maintains her flawless beauty,” Whitney Sudler-Smith's mother offered a candid response. “Botox and staying out of the sun!” she wrote in her reply.
Prior to that, she has shared more about protecting her skin from sun damage. "Since I’m at the beach... I thought I’d share a few secrets that southern women know about skincare," she wrote to caption a seaside Instagram post from 2018. "The most important rule is to stay out of the sun. I try to get 15 minutes of direct sunlight but no more. At the beach, I wear waterproof makeup on my face, chest, and hands and sit under an umbrella. I spray on 70-[SPF] sunblock every hour. This may seem extreme but I don’t look like an alligator just yet."
Far from looking like an alligator, Patricia looks glowing. And she recently opened up more about her beauty regimen.

In the clip above, some of the Southern Charm cast members reveal how much they spend on haircare. While Madison giggles and quips that the question is "messed up," Patricia responds, "Oh, I spend no money on hair products because I have my hair done by somebody else." She adds, "I haven't done my own hair in 40 years, 50 years, 60 years — I can't remember."
However, Patricia does invest in her bedding. In the clip, she says, "High-quality bedding is most important. I have the finest European sheets which come from France."
Though Patricia doesn't have to splurge on haircare, Madison does enjoy testing out products. In August, when a follower asked what Madison considers “the best” shampoo and conditioner for blondes, she replied, “Oribe Gold Lust.”
In fact, Madison isn’t the only Charm-er who swears by Oribe’s hair products. Venita Aspen recently told BravoTV.com about her favorite beauty items, and among her most coveted products was another pick from the brand’s lineup.
