Leva Bonaparte Had the Best Response for People Saying She Looks "Chubby on TV"
The Southern Charm newcomer isn't here for "scrutinizing people who aren’t size zeros."
Leva Bonaparte isn't afraid to speak her mind. Whether the Southern Charm newcomer is sharing her Persian culture with fellow castmates or talking all things business, the Charleston-based restauranteur is refreshingly open with her signature sass. So when it came to clapping back at body-shaming comments about her figure, Leva was not backing down.
On November 16, Leva took to Instagram to respond to online critics alongside an adorable photo of her 2-year-old son. "When people tell me I look chubby on TV. Yeah okay but I still cute tho," she joked in her post. "Accept your body mommas for all its seasons present, past and future...Yes I gained some weight during covid mid-film," she continued. "It was a very stressful time for business and personal."
Unkind words aren't stopping her any time soon. "My insecurities weren’t going to stop me from moving through life from a place of YES," she added. "When you become a mom... you appreciate the body that gave you the beautiful life no matter how it looks and maybe I love how I look? Maybe I want to gain more? Why the hyper focus?"
The stunning entrepreneur went on to describe the pressures of being a certain size while on television, saying, "And let go of scrutinizing people who aren’t size zeros, hell size 6s even and stop bullying the size 0s on the back end and stop making moms feel like they have to snap back. They don’t."
Bravolebs including The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Porsha Williams have previously spoken out about their struggles with "snapping back" after giving birth — especially while in the public eye.
But Leva isn't letting internet trolls get in the way of her priorities which include, in her words, "raising a legend and working."
