"It has been such a long journey — and one that I’m still on — to try and maintain clear skin."

Lindsay Hubbard Rejects Everett Weston’s Love Letter

Lindsay Hubbard wants to break down some of the taboos around beauty. The newly platinum blonde Summer House stunner recently spoke out about her breast augmentation, in hopes that she can help remove any of the perceived stigma around the procedure. Now, like Lorde and Bekah Martinez, Lindsay is opening up about her years-long struggles with adult acne.

How to Watch

Watch Summer House on Bravo Thursdays at 9/8c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app.

"I feel so flattered that people even think I have decent skin because it has been such a long journey — and one that I’m still on — to try and maintain clear skin," Lindsay wrote on Instagram, revealing that she went on Accutane in college to combat breakouts, and it's still something she's dealing with today.

"I have been on/off various acne medications and topical creams for the past 12 years," Lindsay wrote. "NOW, I feel like I’m constantly battling acne scars (from college), redness/uneven complexion, Melasma, sun spots, and STILL breakouts.. like how embarrassing that I still have adult acne!!"

But this year, she's found a routine that works for her, including a daily four-part Rodan + Fields Reverse skincare system and using full-coverage foundations when necessary, including Too Faced's Born This Way, Makeup Forever's Mat Velvet, and Sephora's Airbrush Foundation. She also relies on a laser treatment to help with scarring:

"The lifesaver for me over the past six months has been doing Clear + Brilliant laser treatments at @laseraway," she says. "Although there is a setting where C+B can help more with skin coloration, I use the texture setting to help get rid of the years of acne scarring I’ve racked up, rejuvenate collagen, and it helps reduce the size of pores by 20%. It basically gives you a fresh layer of skin."

A lot of you have been asking about my skincare routine, skin/facial treatments, and foundation brands! I feel so flattered that people even think I have decent skin because it has been such a long journey- and one that I’m still on- to try and maintain clear skin.🤦🏼‍♀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I was a late bloomer growing up in life- which means I didn’t hit puberty until my senior year of high school and then when I went to college, I was on/off birth control to regulate not just my period but also my acne and breakouts. I went on Accutain my sophomore year which helped for 6 months after, but then my breakouts came back. I have been on/off various acne medications and topical creams for the past 12 years. NOW, I feel like I’m constantly battling acne scars (from college), redness/uneven complexion, Melasma, sun spots, and STILL breakouts.. like how embarrassing that I still have adult acne!! Sometimes I feel really self-conscious going out in public without makeup on if my skin isn’t completely clear and that’s a shitty feeling because who wants to wear makeup all the time?! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Finally in the past year, I feel like I’m starting to put together a routine that tackles my seemingly endless list of skin concerns. My Aunt Rhonda @rhondaw713 put me on Rodan + Fields Reverse system to help fix my uneven complexion, sun spot damage, and melasma. This helps a ton but with my fast-paced #summerhouse lifestyle, I really need to be diligent in keeping up with the 4-part routine every day and night. 🧖🏼‍♀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The lifesaver for me over the past six months has been doing Clear + Brilliant laser treatments at @laseraway ⚡️Although there is a setting where C+B can help more with skin coloration, I use the texture setting to help get rid of the years of acne scarring I’ve racked up, rejuvenate collagen, and it helps reduce the size of pores by 20%. It basically gives you a fresh layer of skin. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Lastly, as for foundation. I usually gravitate toward medium/full coverage foundations to cover up impurities 🙄 But I like @Toofaced Born This Way foundation, @makeupforeverofficial Mat Velvet+ or @sephora collection airbrush foundation. Let me know what your favorites are! 🙌🏼

Lindsay's not the only celeb to sing the praises of Clear + Brilliant: Courteney Cox has talked it up in the past, and Cynthia Bailey always makes time for the treatment when she's in LA (and we know how luminous her skin is).
