Lindsay Hubbard Responds to Paige DeSorbo’s Shady Comments on Her Proposal Look

On Season 7, Episode 13 of Summer House, Lindsay Hubbard got the surprise of a lifetime. Her then-boyfriend, Carl Radke, took her to the beach, where had something more than swimming planned. The Loverboy investor dropped down on one knee, presented Lindsay with a dazzling sparkler, and the rest is history… with a bit of mystery. Was the proposal truly a surprise for Lindsay? Paige DeSorbo had some thoughts on that, and Lindsay has responded. But first, let’s review the history of the shoulder-pad scandal.

Here’s the tea: After Lindsay gleefully said yes to Carl’s proposal on the May 8 episode of Summer House, the newly engaged lovebirds headed to the beach. There, they were greeted by a crew of friends and family members. (Check out the sweet scene in the clip above.) 

As Lindsay made the rounds at the beach bash and showed off her ring, she shared that she had no idea the proposal was coming. Paige, however, sees evidence to the contrary, and that evidence is “shoulder pads.” 

In her confessional, the fashion writer said, “She wore shoulder pads to the beach. She knew she was getting proposed to! Nobody just shows up in shoulder pads to the ocean. I feel like a bitch for just saying what everyone is thinking in their head. She curled her hair, and as she should! I’m proud of her. Yes, if you know it’s happening, pick out the best possible outfit. Get your nails done. Be prepared!”

After a Bravo fan account shared Paige’s reaction to Lindsay’s engagement look, Lindsay weighed in with a comment. While Paige dished on Lindsay’s shoulder pads, she was wearing a coral-hued bra top with a swirled pattern. “Love that coconut bra!” Lindsay cheekily commented. “Is it from Gilligan’s Island?” 

Meanwhile, here are the details on Lindsay’s engagement look. The publicist wore Ramy Brook’s Celeste Chevron Midi-Dress ($645 and currently sold out). With metallic details woven through its blue-and-white pattern, the dress has cutouts, long structured sleeves, and a plunging neckline.

While we may never know whether Lindsay was shocked by the proposal or not, one thing’s for sure: She looked fantastic as Carl slipped that ring onto her finger. And like Paige said: As she should!
