Alanna Ubach's Kookiest Comedy Roles
From 'Brady Bunch' to 'Legally Blonde,' revisit the 'Girlfriends' Guide' star's funniest moments.
Every Thursday, celebrate #TBT with us as we open the vault to share photos and videos of Bravolebrities before they were famous—or revisit memorable moments from our shows. This week, we’re throwing it back to some of Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce star Alanna Ubach’s clutch performances over the years.
Bravo's scripted series Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce continues to raise the comedy bar with the addition of Alanna Ubach, who plays lead character Abby McCathy’s former college roommate, Jo. But any comedy fan knows that GG2D is not Alanna's first rodeo. From Legally Blonde to The Brady Bunch Movie and more, look back at a few of Alanna’s most notable performances.
In The Brady Bunch Movie, Alanna plays Noreen, the lesbian best friend of an oblivious Marcia Brady, played by Christine Taylor. This throwback couldn’t be more timely given the film has recently experienced a bit of a pop culture renaissance in the form of memes (George Glass! Sküle!) and dedicated BuzzFeed posts after its release on Netflix scored a new generation of fans.
A few years following The Brady Bunch Movie, Alanna charmed audiences opposite Reese Witherspoon playing Elle Woods’ perky, clueless sorority sister, Serena.
Some of Alanna’s most hilarious work actually came from the lesser-known cult classic, Waiting, where she plays a waitress named Naomi who struggles with anger management issues.
And who could forget her turn as Isabel Villalobos, the Latina maid in Meet the Fockers?
