Amanda Makes a Confession on the House She & Kyle Toured: "Sorry to Anyone Who Felt Tricked"
Summer House's Amanda Batula also shared why the house "crushed all [her] hopes and dreams."
Amanda Batula is setting the record straight on her recent home tour with Kyle Cooke on Summer House Season 8.
After expressing a desire to escape NYC living to move out to the suburbs of New Jersey, Kyle and Amanda toured a $1.4 million property on Season 8, Episode 7 (which aired on April 4).
Following the episode, Amanda cleared something up about the house in an Instagram comment.
Amanda Batula Shares Something Shocking About the House She Toured with Kyle Cooke
When the spouses toured the aforementioned home on Season 8, Episode 7 — with a real estate agent who happened to be named Kyle as well — a chyron popped up that described the three-bedroom home's location as "The 'Burbs."
Because Amanda had previously talked about how her dream was to move to New Jersey, which is where she's from, viewers assumed that the house was located in the Garden State. However, an Instagram account shared a post featuring screenshots of a Zillow listing for the property revealing that it's located in the Hamptons, and not in New Jersey.

Amanda reacted to the post in the comments section. "We weren’t trying to pretend it was NJ," she wrote. "[W]e were very vocal about looking at houses in the Hamptons as an escape from the city and something we could rent out during the summer."
Ultimately, though, "[T]he price tag quickly crushed all my hopes and dreams," Amanda concluded. "Sorry to anyone who felt tricked."
Are Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke moving out of New York City?
The spouses of three years have been discussing their next move on Summer House Season 8, though it doesn't look like they've made the journey out of New York City yet.
"I do want to start looking for a little spot. You know I've been wanting to move out of the apartment forever, and I know that we're not gonna move out out permanently, but I really want somewhere to be able to escape to," Amanda shared on Season 8, Episode 5. "Somewhere in New Jersey to, like, have all the natural light and the outdoor space."
After years of living in the concrete jungle, Amanda just wants somewhere to be able to go when she needs a break.
"Where we live right now, I don't feel comfortable," she continued on the show. "I'm, like, dying for a backyard. I want to sip coffee on my back deck. I want dew on my grass. Like, there are so many things that I just crave and you don't get in a city."
Though Amanda has made her ideal next move known, Kyle isn't convinced yet. Because Loverboy is based in the city, Kyle is worried about moving away and feeling "disconnected" from his company, and from his friends.
