Are Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula Moving to New Jersey? "Something's Gonna Have to Give"

Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula have hinted at a potential move out of New York City over the last few years, but more recently, the Summer House couple hasn't exactly seen eye-to-eye about when to say goodbye to the Big Apple.

On Summer House Season 8, Episode 5, Amanda told Kyle she is ready to start the search for a home in New Jersey. "I do want to start looking for a little spot," she said. "You know I've been wanting to move out of the apartment forever, and I know that we're not gonna move out out permanently, but I really want somewhere to be able to escape to. Somewhere in New Jersey to, like, have all the natural light and the outdoor space."

Although Kyle and Amanda have a gorgeous Manhattan apartment, Amanda explained why she wants another home. "Where we live right now, I don't feel comfortable," she said. "I'm, like, dying for a backyard. I want to sip coffee on my back deck. I want dew on my grass. Like, there are so many things that I just crave and you don't get in a city."

When Kyle noted, "We're trying to, like, resign a lease on the apartment and the office, so that's like another year" they would be in New York, Amanda responded, "I know. That's why it's really important that I get somewhere that I don't have to stay in the city."

In their conversation, Kyle declared, "You're really pushing Jersey hard," and Amanda explained why in an interview during the episode, which aired on March 21. "My dad's dying for grandkids. My mom is so good with children. So, when we have kids, New Jersey it is," she said. "They would be over all the time helping. We go over to my parents' house, and Kyle's getting hors d'oeuvres and Aperol spritz just, like, handed to him. I'm like, 'You don't want to live near my parents?'"

Later in the episode, Kyle opened up to Craig Conover about his hesitancy to move while they talked about Craig's living situation with Paige DeSorbo. 

"We're almost in a similar situation, like where are we gonna move? We're not gonna live in an apartment in New York City forever. Amanda wants to move to New Jersey. I don't really," Kyle said. "Something's gonna have to give at some point. She is ready for the house with the freakin' white fence. At some point, I will have to make some type of sacrifice."
