Andy Cohen Apologizes to Heidi Montag

"I got a little carried away," he says.

By Shallon Lester

Andy Cohen of Bravo's Watch What Happens Live
Last week, Andy Cohen took to his Twitter and put to rest any rumors that Heidi Montag was joining the cast of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but sometimes, 140 characters just isn't enough.

On a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live, the Senior Vice President went further, calling her "trash" and saying he would sooner "stab knives into my own eyes than see her on this network."

Now, after Heidi called the remarks "tasteless" and "completely unnecessary," Andy says that maaaaaaybe he went overboard.

"There had been so many rumors going on about the Housewives last week, I think I was at the tipping point, basically," Andy tells People magazine. "I guess I got a little carried away."
