Andy Cohen was once again bow-tied and ready for pageant madness alongside Giuliana Rancic as the two hosted the Miss Universe 2012 competition on Monday night, and for the first time in more than 10 years, the coveted tiara went to Miss USA, Olivia Culpo.
The 20-year-old was stunned with her win, as she beat out 88 other global beauties after having just gotten serious about the pageant circuit last year, when she won the Miss Rhode Island competition.
Following her win, she paid tribute to the victims of the Newtown, Connecticut shooting as well as Hurricane Sandy and other tragedies, saying: "It's such an honor to be representing the USA in an international beauty contest in spite of all the tragedy that's happened in this country lately," she said. "I really hope that this will raise everybody's spirits a little."
Andy and Olivia share another bond aside from Miss Universe -- Olivia is currently a sophomore at Boston University, Andy's alma mater.
