Bravolebs Celebrate GLAAD Spirit Day

Bravolebs are passionate about putting an end to the bullying of LGBT youth, as you can see in the video above. Andy Cohen is definitely among these supporters and he's about to receive a major recognition of his commitment to the cause.

How to Watch

Tune in to WWHL on Bravo Sunday through Thursday and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

GLAAD, an acronym for "Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation," will present the Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen host with the Vito Russo Award at the 30th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York City on May 4. His fellow honoree that evening is Madonna. No big deal.

GLAAD President and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis said in a statement: "Andy Cohen is a force in the entertainment industry who consistently prioritizes and celebrates LGBTQ stories. Both on-screen and behind-the-scenes, Andy’s trademark brand of LGBTQ advocacy has resulted in some of the buzziest and entertaining culture changing moments."

What's more, Andy will receive the award from the perfect presenter. Sarah Jessica Parker, who's a fellow LGBT ally and Andy's longtime bestie (and Met Gala date!), will bestow her friend with the honor.

At times, Andy has used WWHL as a platform to discuss issues plaguing the gay community. Keep scrolling to see his emotional yet inspiring comments in the wake of the 2016 Pulse nightclub shooting.
