Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced yesterday that they plan to “step back as senior members of the Royal Family,” and hope to split their time between the U.K. and North America. They also announced their plans to "work to become financially independent." But fear not: At least Markle has a back-up career plan in place (though she may not know it yet).

How to Watch

In the comments section of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's official Instagram account, Andy Cohen offered Markle a job, should she choose to move to Cali. "Open invite for The Duchess to join #RHOBH !!!" he wrote.

The Real Housewives of New York City's Luann de Lesseps also has a proposal for Meghan: instead of RHOBH, she's pushing the Duchess to join RHONY.

"We would openly welcome Meghan Markle on RHONY. We need a new Harry," she joked.

Other Bravolebs weighed in on the royal news as well. Southern Charm's Cameran Eubanks commented, "'This above all, to thine own self be true' I admire you both."

And RHONY alum Bethenny Frankel is similarly supportive of the couple. "I love the Harry & Meghan news..Everybody wins, unless I'm missing something," she tweeted.

Despite the invitation to join The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the Duke and Duchess have made no mention of moving to L.A. In their mention of North America, they were possibly referring to moving to Canada. And this actually has a RHOBH tie-in: David Foster, RHOBH alum Yolanda Hadid's ex-husband, revealed he was the one who arranged for Markle, Prince Harry, and their son, Archie, to stay in Canada for their holiday getaway at a mansion on Vancouver Island.

“I felt honored that I was able to help Meghan there, because I’m a Canadian and we’re a commonwealth country, we’re the Crown’s. It’s important to us, so I grew up with that kind of sentiment,” Foster told the Daily Mail.

And here's yet another RHOBH connection: Markle and Foster's wife, Katharine McPhee, both performed in the same musicals while they were growing up in L.A. PEOPLE reports. So it sounds like this Real Housewives potential career move would be full-circle for her!
