Andy Cohen Weighs in on Rumors of Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi Joining RHONJ
The Garden State celebrity previously squashed the rumors.
Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi will not be joining The Real Housewives of New Jersey, but even Andy Cohen can agree that it’s not a totally crazy idea.
Rumors that the Jersey Shore star could be joining the cast were recently squashed by Snooki herself in a September 16 Instagram comment. “Idk how this started but I have not been asked to be a Housewife. Sowwyyyyy,” Snooki wrote. The news was disappointing to Melissa Gorga, who said, “Damn it!” in response to the revelation.
Andy weighed in on the rumors on Live with Kelly and Ryan later that day, explaining that "at no time soon would that happen.”
According to Andy, this isn’t the first time the rumors of Snooki becoming a RHONJ cast member have popped up over the last few years.
“It’s always something that I’ve kind of discounted. I’ve thought, it’s two different shows—I don’t see it,” Andy told Kelly Ripa. “I know some of the women actually know her, and I will say watching your show this morning and hearing it come out of your mouth, it kind of legitimized it in a way."
