Andy Cohen Explains Why He Was “Really Surprised” Kim and Kroy Called Off Their Divorce

The WWHL host reacted to the news that the Don’t Be Tardy couple is reconciling.

There’s a new development in Kim Zolciak-Biermann and Kroy Biermann’s split following their decision to file for divorce back in May: They aren’t splitting up after all.

How to Watch

Per E! News, the Don’t Be Tardy couple took action to dismiss their divorce case on July 7, and that same day, Kroy’s attorney told the publication that he and Kim are “attempting a reconciliation.”

Now Andy Cohen is giving his take on the matter.

Andy’s Reaction to Kim and Kroy’s “Reconciliation”

Upon hearing the news that Kim and Kroy are no longer pursuing a divorce and instead working on their relationship, Andy admitted on the July 11 episode of his SiriusXM show, Radio Andy, that he was “surprised.”

“I was really surprised to hear that Kim and Kroy got back together,” Andy explained. “I mean, I had, like, a half-hour talk with her a few weeks ago, and it sounded like irreconcilable differences.”

The reaction was similar to the one the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host had after first hearing about Kim and Kroy’s divorce filing

“I was very surprised. That was not the news I ever expected to get,” Andy said back in May. “They seemed so much in love and just together. I mean, they were a couple that, yeah, I thought they were in it for the long haul.”

At the time, Andy shared that he had “texted a little bit with Kim” about the divorce filing. “[I] sent my condolences, because it’s a sad thing,” he explained. “They have kids, and that was just a couple [who] seemed very much in love.”

The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum and Kroy, as fans may recall, have four children together — 11-year-old Kroy Jagger (aka “KJ”), 10-year-old Kash Kade, and 9-year-old twins Kaia Rose and Kane Ren — and Kroy is the adoptive father of Kim’s daughters Brielle and Ariana, who took on his last name during the legal process in 2013.

Additional Reactions to Kim and Kroy’s Relationship Drama

Andy hasn’t been the only one to weigh in on Kim and Kroy’s relationship woes. Following Kim’s RHOA Season 15 cameo, several of the show’s cast members discussed her and Kroy’s situation on The Real Housewives of Atlanta After Show.
