Andy Cohen Signs Up for Regis Duty

Our night owl is becoming quite the daytime fixture. Fresh from his recent stint guest hosting the fourth hour of the Today show, Andy Cohen now tells the Miami New Times that he'll soon pull a chair up beside celeb bestie Kelly Ripa on Live! with Regis & Kelly. "I can say I'm going to sub for [Regis Philbin] in a couple of weeks later this year."

So, is the founding father of Housewives planning to jump ship and replace the Regs once he retires this fall? Apparently you haven't seen his Outlook calendar. "I have a big day job and a late night show," Andy says addressing the rumors.

Plus, we know our dear Andy would never pack his bags. For one thing, sipping a midnight martini on live TV is much more his cup of Joe than slurping from a coffee mug before noon. "I love going out... late. It's just fun," he told the paper. Point made.
