Andy Cohen Spills Real Housewives Tea in “Vulnerable” New Book & “You Never Know” Who Will Call Him About It
The WWHL host opened up about his new memoir, The Daddy Diaries: The Year I Grew Up.
Andy Cohen has shared the many changes in his life over the course of five (!!) books. His latest, The Daddy Diaries: The Year I Grew Up, is officially in bookstores on May 9.
It not only gives a glimpse inside his life as a dad but also shares insight into how he balances that role with his career at Bravo, which is where he hosts Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and countless reunions every year, and where he is an executive producer on the Real Housewives franchise.
And in true Andy Cohen fashion, he’s spilling all the tea in the pages of the book. Some of it, as it turns out, surprised him and ended up in the final copy.
“I think there’s a lot. There’s a lot of kind of interior,” he told The Daily Dish the day the book dropped. “I’m more vulnerable in the book than I think I’ve ever been to anyone, and I think there’s a lot of little pieces of Housewives gossip in there.”
Real Housewives gossip, you say? While the book is filled with insider scoop from the ultimate Real Housewives insider, he did share that there is one tidbit he included regarding a certain alum of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
“I sent her the book, she knows that’s in there. She has the book,” he teased about what he shared about Lisa Rinna in the book. As for whether he thinks anyone else will be giving him a call once they finish the memoir, he said, “I don’t know. That’s the thing: You never know.”
When The Real Housewives of New Jersey's Teresa Giudice posted an Instagram Story of herself at the store sharing that she was planning to buy a copy, Andy also shared the moment to his Instagram Stories, revealing that there is also some Teresa tea in the pages: "I'm low key trying to remember everyting I say about Teresa in the book!"
Andy upped the ante on the release and shared that he recorded the audio version of the release as well: “It’s publication day for THE DADDY DIARIES: THE YEAR I GREW UP! I also recorded the audio book for your listening pleasure.”
As previously reported, “The Daddy Diaries picks up almost five years after Superficial left off, with a hangover the morning after an epic New Year’s Eve broadcast, and a newfound feud with New York’s mayor worthy of a Housewives reunion. But Andy doesn’t have time to dwell on the drama, as his role as media mogul is now matched with the responsibilities, joys, and growing pains of parenthood.”
Since his last book, according to the new memoir’s official description, Andy “has taken on the most important job of his life — father — and boy (and girl!) does he have a lot to say about it!”
Andy welcomed his son, Ben, in 2019. In 2022, he became a dad again with the birth of his daughter, Lucy.
Fans will recall that Andy released his memoir, Superficial: More Adventures from the Andy Cohen Diaries, back in 2016. And he spoke about it with The Daily Dish at the time, which you can check out in the video at the top of the post.
