Andy Cohen's Dream Hosting Gig? A GOP Debate

"They're like Real Housewives reunions," he says.

By Lauren Metz

Is Mitt Mazel-worthy? Andy Cohen listed the GOP debates as one of his top highlights from 2011 – putting them right up there with his hometown team's World Series win.

"They're like Real Housewives reunions," he gushes to People about the heated policy pushing conversations. "I'm sorry, but they are. And I want to host one. I've been really loving the GOP debates, and there's a debate every two days so it's just constantly feeding my entertainment lust."

And somewhere between the ObamaCare bashing and talks of education reform, Andy even managed to find a laugh or two. "Rick Perry trying to remember the three things was really funny, I loved that. The three agencies he was going to shut down, I loved it." Ricky Perry? Probably not as much.

But, alas, Andy's still waiting on the powers that be to greenlight his political ambitions -- now that Watch What Happens: Live is on five nights a week, maybe the White House wannabes can come to him? Until then, he'll keep his hosting skills sharp by corralling reunited Housewives -- next up, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

"It's like all of us sitting around in a therapy session and Andy Cohen is the psychiatrist, and he really wants to dig deep and get in there," RHOBH star Kyle Richards told E!. "I do get nervous doing the reunion. It's never a fun day to be honest."
