Ariana Madix Reveals She Froze Her Eggs

Ariana Madix revealed some huge news about her life in the November 16 episode of Vanderpump Rules.

How to Watch

Watch Vanderpump Rules on Bravo Tuesdays at 8/7c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app.

During a visit to see Scheana Shay, Brock Davies, and their newborn daughter, Summer Moon, Ariana asked the new mom if she would want to have another child. Scheana then brought up how both she and Ariana had frozen their eggs, which Ariana then confirmed in an interview during the episode. "Surprise! I froze my eggs," Ariana said (clip above). "Me and Scheana were actually going together to freeze our eggs, and then she got pregnant."

Scheana has previously been open about freezing her eggs. She underwent two egg retrievals in 2019 and was getting ready for a third procedure before suffering a miscarriage in 2020. But it wasn't long before Scheana got pregnant with Summer and welcomed her first child with now-fiancé Brock in April of this year.

In the latest episode of Vanderpump Rules, Scheana asked Ariana if she was considering getting a surrogate to carry her child, and Ariana replied that she wasn't. But Scheana noted that it would be "so much fun" if they decided to have babies via surrogate at the same time.

However, Ariana clarified in an interview during the episode that just because she froze her eggs doesn't mean she's planning on becoming a mom anytime soon. "This does not mean that I'm jumping on the baby train; it's about having agency over my own body and my own future," she explained. "It's also kind of a nice, fun f--k you to anybody who questions my values or my choices."

Ariana has long been vocal about not wanting to have kids. But one fan asked Ariana during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in October if seeing other members of the Vanderpump Rules crew start their own families has changed her mind at all. "It does not," she said. "These are not my first friends to have kids."

But it sounds like Ariana may have warmed up a little more to the idea of one day getting engaged to her longtime love Tom Sandoval after previously expressing that she wasn't interested in marriage. Following James Kennedy's epic Coachella-themed proposal to Raquel Leviss earlier this season of Vanderpump Rules, Ariana was impressed by all the effort Tom had put in to giving the couple this memorable moment. "How could anyone say 'no' if this is how someone asks you to marry them?" Ariana said in an interview in the October 19 episode of Vanderpump Rules. "So, like, if it was like this, but it's just us, then maybe."

Ariana later addressed that moment and her current thoughts on marriage during her appearance on WWHL last month. "I think the big thing for me is that, like, I'm not really into the whole fanfare of it. Like, it's really more about the two people. So if it was just about us, you know, I honestly think I would be more open to it," she said (clip below). "I just don't want it to be, like, a big thing about having a giant wedding and a bachelorette party and all that bulls--t."
