Ashley Darby and Husband Michael Darby Felt "Blessed" at Their Magical Baby Shower
Find out which Real Housewives came out for The Real Housewives of Potomac party.
Ashley Darby is feeling the love.
The Real Housewives of Potomac mom-to-be held a beautiful baby shower over the weekend in celebration of her baby boy, whom she is expecting with her husband, Michael Darby. Ashley's closest family and friends came out to La Vie DC at District Wharf in Washington, D.C. to fête the soon-to-be first-time mom.
And it's your lucky day, because you can actually go inside Ashley's lovely baby shower yourself by checking out the video she recently shared on Instagram of the big bash. The only thing that will warm your heart more than seeing Ashley surrounded by all of her loved ones (as well as the pretty parasol decor, flower display, and aerial artist) is the touching message of gratitude Ashley shared on Instagram.
"I am still coming down from the joy and excitement of Baby D's shower of love this weekend! Walking into that magical space was everything I could've ever dreamt! There was so much love radiating from each corner of the room that I couldn't stop smiling," Ashley gushed in the post. "Michael and I are blessed to be surrounded by you caring, loving, supportive people. Life is much more fulfilling with you in it. We deeply thank you for taking time out of your weekend to celebrate with us."
You'll recognize many of the people on the guest list for Ashley's baby shower. Gizelle Bryant, Robyn Dixon, Karen Huger, and Monique Samuels all showed support for their fellow Potomac Housewife, as well as RHOP alum Charrisse Jackson-Jordan. Ashley's husband, Michael, and her mother, Sheila, were also there to keep the party going.
As Ashley also celebrated her own birthday this weekend on June 8, she reflected on the forthcoming birthday of her baby boy, who is due to arrive in July, while also looking back on the loss of her child when she suffered a miscarriage around this time last year.
"On this very special date that I was chosen to become a breathing human, I give thanks for the incredible gifts bestowed upon me. My loving mother, supportive husband, and caring family & friends are always on my gratitude list. This year I add a special appreciation for this little one growing inside of me - our sweet son," Ashley shared in a post that featured a sonogram image of her son. "When I think back to this time last year, I had just learned I was pregnant, then shortly received the heartbreaking news that baby was gone. A full year later, I am preparing to celebrate our son and welcome him into this world very soon. Life is so challenging sometimes, makes no gosh darn sense, but then it happens and everything comes to light. It all happens for us, not to us. Love and Light."
Monique will open up more about her experience with a miscarriage while celebrating the arrival of her third child in an all-new episode of RHOP Sunday at 8/7c. Watch a preview, below.
