Shep Rose Makes a Surprising Statement on Austen Kroll and Madison LeCroy's Future

Leva Bonaparte also reacts to the drama between the exes in the Southern Charm Season 7 finale.

The drama between Austen Kroll and Madison LeCroy continued even after they became exes earlier this season of Southern Charm. Things came to a head during the Season 7 finale after Madison heard rumors that Austen had already moved on.

How to Watch

Thankfully, we have Leva Bonaparte to put things into perspective on the roller coaster ride that has been Austen and Madison's on-again, off-again relationship. During the January 21 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, one fan asked Leva if she agreed with Austen that Madison "can't stand not having his attention." "Yeah, I mean, Madison definitely wants his attention," Leva said in the above clip. "We all know that."

The fan also asked for Leva's thoughts on Madison's reaction to the rumors that Austen had already started seeing other people. "I think this whole time, it's just we never know where their relationship stands, so none of us knew, were they actually together then, were they not? Were they telling each other one thing, telling us one thing?" Leva explained. "So you just never know, and you just stop getting involved."

During the WWHL After Show, Leva's fellow guest Shep Rose also shared how he would react if Madison decided to get together with John Pringle after a season of flirting between the two. "I don't think it would work out," Shep said (clip below). "But I would be happy for it."

Though Shep hasn't always been the biggest fan of Madison's, he actually expressed some optimism about her and Austen's ability to move on in a positive direction. "Oh, I think they'll always be friends," Shep shared. "I was in a car with Austen not long ago, and she called and put on speaker, and you could tell that they were genuinely invested in each other's lives and cared about each other."

But when it comes to whether Austen and Madison should rekindle their romance, Shep said, "No. Please, no."

Austen shared during an appearance on WWHL in December 2020 that he had been "hurt" by some of the things he heard Madison say about him this season of Southern Charm. That same month, Madison also expressed during an interview with The Daily Dish podcast that she wasn't sure what kind of relationship she would be able to have with Austen in the future.

“He literally just texted me a minute ago,” Madison said during the interview. “I’ve tried to avoid him, in a sense. We talk here and there. We’ve seen each other. But there’s nothing like that romantically happening right now. We just can’t get along, and it’s unfortunate, because I think that there is passion there.”
