In Season 11, Episode 8 of Below Deck, the 23-year-old opened up to St. David deckhand Sunny Marquis about his work ethic, revealing he's "really hard" on himself because he used to be overweight as a kid.
"If you give me a choice between McDonalds or like a salad with broccoli, I'll take the salad with broccoli," he told her as they cleaned the yacht, "because I used to be really fat."
The deckhand shared that he was motivated to lose weight after years of being "bullied," instilling in him the determination necessary to become a yachtie. "I decided that it was either going to break me or make me," he explained.
