Captain Glenn Opens Up on His Relationship with “the Most Amazing Woman I Know”

Captain Glenn Shephard is celebrating the special women in his life.

The Below Deck Sailing Yacht captain took to Instagram on Wednesday, March 8 to pay tribute to his girlfriend as well as several of his family members in honor of International Women's Day. In his first post, Captain Glenn shared two snapshots of Danelis "Dani" Jimenez, whom he publicly he announced he was dating last November. 

"Happy International Women’s Day. And especially to the most amazing woman I know," his caption read. "These photos are from our second date, we ended up in Switzerland, as you do. Ascona on Lake Maggiore, it’s like a little St. Tropez up in the mountains."

Shouting out Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans, Captain Glenn added, "Some of you may recognize this first picture from the wall in my cabin in Season 1 and maybe 2."

His other post featured two photos of his mother; one a solo shot and the other showing her posing alongside his sister and his niece. "And of course to the other most amazing woman in my life, my mom, who has given me so much," Captain Glenn wrote, going on to attribute his "fighting spirit" and "sense of adventure" to her. "Not to mention," he added, "a little thing I am very grateful for, my life!"

"And also to the other amazing women in my family, my sister Melodi and niece Maris. Happy International Women’s day," Captain Glenn continued, noting that in the second photo, "you can see three generations of amazing women down at my 'local pub' in Palma."

The sweet tributes marked a change of pace for Captain Glenn's social media, as he typically uses Instagram to document and share all of the traveling he does. That said, he does do a lot of said traveling with his girlfriend. Among the many destinations he and Dani have visited together are Spain, Mexico, and France.

"We first started dating back before the first season of BDSY, I was based in Genoa and she was living in Milan," Captain Glenn shared when taking their relationship public last year. "We’ve been hesitant to share our relationship online, let’s just say it’s been a bit 'complicated.'"

However, "Now that I’ve got a lot more free time," he wrote, "we’re able to spend most our time together, mostly cruising on our little boat Avalon and when the weather is cold, traveling."

Best of all? "I fall in love again every time I look in her eyes, but to me that’s just a bonus as she’s one of the best people and coolest chicks I’ve ever met," Captain Glenn added. "I feel very fortunate to have her in my life."
