Captain Kerry Titheradge Opens Up About Below Deck Season 11

When Kerry captained motor yacht Mercury in Norway on Below Deck Adventure, he faced a unique set of obstacles, including cold water and navigating through the fjords.

On Below Deck Season 11, Kerry is in the Caribbean, and he's bringing the boat around Grenada. He compared the two destinations during his chat with The Daily Dish

"Grenada's very different than Norway," he said. "In Norway, [the water is] super deep everywhere and there are mountains that go up [and] go down, as well. To find a place to anchor is challenging because the water's so deep."

He added, that, in "the Caribbean, there's rocks everywhere and reefs."

"It's kind of a funny place to anchor, but [there are] more things to hit," he joked.

Kerry may have been new to the St. David vessel, but chief stew Fraser and deckhand Ben are very familiar with the yacht.

The captain revealed how he utilized their respective expertise at the beginning of the season.

"Understanding how the boat works, where things are, that's where I lean on their experience and not try to guide them on how to do their jobs," Kerry said. "Because they know the boat, they know what works."

Captain Kerry Titheradge Teases the Crew Drama

When it comes to his leadership style, Kerry said that he likes to be "firm, but fair" with his crew.

"I like to have a bit of a joke with my crew, but they need to realize that I'm not their friend," he explained. "My door's always open, [but] if they cross the line, they're going to find out."

Kerry teased what viewers can expect to see from Season 11.

"I'm excited for everyone to see it. It is really a lot of fun down there," he said. "There's some twists and turns throughout the season."
