Braunwyn Windham-Burke Celebrates Her Son Jacob: “So Honored to Be Your Mother”

Braunwyn Windham-Burke couldn’t be prouder of her son, Jacob. Several months after confirming that the teenager had decided to give “the world of drag a try,” The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member is continuing to showcase her love and support for her oldest son with a sweet message on Instagram.   

On July 4, Braunwyn took to social media to share a close-up photo of her and Jacob, displaying half of their faces in a side-by-side pose and showing off their dazzling blue eyes while rocking gorgeous glittery eye makeup. “In a world where you can be anything, be yourself. So honored to be your mother. @jacobwindhamburke,” she wrote in the caption alongside the beautiful photo, also adding hashtags that read, “Mother and Son” and “Proud Mom.”

Braunwyn shared that her son had decided to pursue his interest in drag earlier this year. Since then, the mom of seven and her husband, Sean Burke, have continued to show their support, participating in a fundraiser for  The San Diego LGBT Community Center in February.  “Supporting our kid, supporting the community," she wrote at the time.

Braunwyn also shared an update on Jacob’s experience with drag in April, noting that it’s been a hugely positive outlet for him. “He was kind of in a funk for a while, he was kind of depressed and just sad,” she told The Daily Dish. “This has taken him out of that. He’s just activated and alive.”
