As fans know, it’s been a month since the duo publicly announced that they were “taking time apart” and living in separate homes as they attempted to reevaluate their relationship.
Recently, Brittany opened up about her ongoing love issues with Jax, specifically as it relates to their finances, during her April 2 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. And what she admitted might shock you.

Following an informative discussion about mistakes couples make with their money (clip above), host Andy Cohen, asked Brittany about her and Jax’s financial situation. “How’s it going with your finance talk with Jax?” he said.
To everyone’s surprise, Brittany quickly replied: “We have separate accounts.”
“You do,” Andy followed up before Britany clarified, ”Yes, always have.”

Why did Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor spilt?
Back in February, when the news of the pair’s split first broke, Brittany revealed on her podcast, When Reality Hits with Jax and Brittany, that she wasn’t sharing details about what led to their separation since it was “still very hard to talk about” at the time.
A few weeks later, at The Valley series premiere party on March 14, the mother of one finally revealed that her decision to split was fueled by the way Jax treated her.
“We’ve been together nine years, and people stop appreciating and take you for granted after some time, and that should never happen in a marriage,” Brittany told Page Six. “So, that’s what I’m trying to get back, and if it doesn’t come back, we won’t get back together.”

While Brittany and Jax continue to work on their marriage, it’s safe to say that the two are committed to raising their 2-year-old son, Cruz Michael Cauchi.
On Easter, Brittany and Jax reunited to celebrate the holiday with their son by having a beachside brunch in Malibu. Both Brittany and Jax documented their adorable family outing with photos and videos of them enjoying delicious food and watching the waves crash against the shoreline.
One photo showcased Brittany holding her mini-me as they posed outside the restaurant for her Instagram Story.
During a recent interview with The Daily Dish, Brittany gushed about Jax being an "amazing father" to their son, Cruz, but he is different as a husband. "He's just not the best partner right now and if, you know, if he works on some things, maybe in the future, we could get back together," Brittany said.
