The Valley cast members announced in late February that they would be "taking some time apart" from one another as they reevaluated their relationship after four years of marriage. Jax told Page Six that same month that they were taking Cruz into consideration with every move they made. "We have a child involved and we just wanna do what's best for our kid," he said.

They have continued to do just that — from going to the zoo, to Cruz's first soccer practice, to spending their first holiday together while separated. Jax and Brittany have been a great example for Cruz, and continued to be that for him this past Easter Sunday.

Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright Spend Easter Together Amid Separation

A split of Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright's Easter celebration with son, Cruz Cauchi,

Jax, Brittany, and Cruz celebrated Easter by having brunch outdoors at the oceanside restaurant, Moonshadows Malibu. The family of three got to eat while watching the waves crash on the shore, as seen in Jax's Instagram Story, while feasting on soup, shrimp cocktail, and lobster. But it appears that they weren't dining alone — Jax also tagged his friend and Ariana Madix's brother, Jeremy Madix, and his fiancée, Rachael, (who were not seen on camera) in a photo of his lobster.

Brittany also took to her Instagram Story, where she shared a photo of her and Cruz, standing outside of the restaurant. Brittany also got a sweet video of her son, wearing his Sunday best, walking outside of the restaurant, admiring the ocean. Between the views, the food, and the company, the family of three really seemed to enjoy their Easter.

Brittany Cartwright on Jax Taylor Being An "Amazing Father"

In a recent interview with The Daily Dish, Brittany admitted that Jax is an "amazing father" to Cruz, but is different when it comes to being a husband. "He's just not the best partner right now and if, you know, if he works on some things, maybe in the future, we could get back together," Brittany said.

"I'm not really sure about that situation yet, but for right now, the space is much needed for both of us," she added. "I'm just glad that I had the strength to finally take myself out of that situation 'cause I don't think I would ever, ever, ever leave him."
