Brittany Cartwright's Shocking Confession About Sex Life with Jax: "Changed Dramatically"
Brittany's confession comes months beforeThe Valley stars announced they were "taking time apart" after nearly five years of marriage.
The bumpy road leading to Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s eventual separation is playing out on The Valley, and there might have been some warning flags in the bedroom.
In Season 1, Episode 4, Brittany shocked her friends by claiming she and her now-estranged husband of less than five years were no longer very intimate.
In the episode, Brittany expressed her desire to have a “romantic night” with Jax, especially since her mother, Sherri Cartwright, was visiting from Kentucky and willing to help out with their toddler son, Cruz. Jax said he wished to plan a date night, but it was challenging to find the time since he invested much of it toward the couple’s sports bar, Jax’s Studio City.

“When Jax and I first met, it was awesome,” Brittany said of their marriage. “We were having sex all the time, 24-7. I mean, we didn’t miss a day.”
Now, Brittany said, it has “changed dramatically.”

“I’m talking, like, twice in the past year,” she claimed.
One of the issues may be all the work Jax and Brittany have on their plate, between opening Jax’s Studio City, their When Reality Hits with Jax and Brittany podcast, and raising their 2-year-old son.
“I didn’t realize this bar was going to take up a lot of my time,” Jax said when asked about a date night. “I should have known that, but there’s just a lot going on right now.”
At the forefront of their lives is Cruz, who, in the same episode, required the attention of a speech therapist to help him with his verbal development.
“[We’ve] just put the kid first for so long, and he’s always gonna come first, let’s be real,” Brittany told her husband. “But we still have to be strong.”
Jax also touched on the couple’s plans to “have more kids,” which he said would make them “grow farther apart.”
“We can’t allow that to happen,” said Jax.
“Exactly,” Brittany agreed.
In spite of their efforts, Jax and Brittany announced their separation in February 2024 after nearly five years of marriage. However, both have stressed that they were “still friends” and that raising Cruz as a united front was their priority.
“Cruz is what matters the most,” Brittany previously said. “We’re gonna be adulting as hell about this.”
In the first trailer for The Valley, it appeared that troubles loomed for the married couple. Rumors circulated about Jax being unfaithful, but despite his philandering ways of years past, Jax and Brittany have denied that cheating was the reason for their breakup.
They also said the separation had “zero to do with” Jax’s Studio City or alcohol.
Brittany later said she hit her “breaking point” after nine years of being together because “people stop appreciating and take you for granted after some time, and that should never happen in a marriage,” she told Page Six.
The former Hooters girl had to remind herself that she was “hot as hell” and “not gonna listen to this bullsh-t anymore.”
More to come in all-new episodes of The Valley, airing Tuesdays at 9/8c and streaming the next day on Peacock.
