Brittany Cartwright Welcomes Her First Child
The new mom confirmed she welcomed her son with Jax Taylor.
Brittany Cartwright is officially a mom. She confirmed she welcomed her first child, a son named Cruz Michael Cauchi, with husband Jax Taylor. The couple shared the news on Instagram on Tuesday (April 13).
Brittany wrote on Instagram, "Yesterday, April 12th at 1:51pm, our lives changed forever in the absolute best way possible. Our beautiful son Cruz Michael Cauchi was born and we have never been more in love. He is the most precious gift and I am so blessed to be his Mommy. We are soooooo so happy, he is a dream come true!! Both Mommy [and] Baby are doing great!"
“I’ve never in my life thought it was going to be like this... it’s 10000 times better. Dad mode just kicks in," Jax added in a separate post. "We are so in love."
The Vanderpump Rules alums confirmed they were expecting their first child together in September 2020, a little over a year after they married in June 2019 in a lavish ceremony in her home state of Kentucky. "Mom & Dad. The love of our lives is coming soon," Brittany shared on Instagram at the time, with Jax adding, "Sooooo, I am gonna be Dad."
Just days after confirming their baby news. they revealed Brittany was expecting a boy. Shortly after confirming the pregnancy, Brittany spoke about it in an interview with PEOPLE: "I am getting loads of morning sickness and feeling pretty tired but overall, I feel great and I am already so in love with this little baby! Hearing the heartbeat made my heart melt. I haven't noticed any particular cravings, everything is just yummy!"
She even revealed more about her emotional journey to motherhood in the PEOPLE interview. "We had been trying for around five months and we just can't wait to grow our family. I had the ovulation sticks and all the apps... we were ready to go!" she said. "I woke up super early to go to the restroom and just had a feeling I should take a test and it was positive!! I cried, I laughed, we were just so happy!! Then I took three more tests and cried some more."
