Did Adam Glick Throw a Little Shade at Captain Sandy Yawn?

Chef Adam Glick gets to work with a new captain, Glenn Shephard, this season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, and he's digging his new boss' vibe so far.

"Last season in the Med, I was perpetually under the microscope with Sandy," Adam said of previously working for Captain Sandy Yawn on Below Deck Mediterranean during the Below Deck Sailing Yacht series premiere (clip above). "So it feels really good to be working with someone that actually trusts the crew. I guess the big question is whether or not he's gonna be able to trust us all season long."

Captain Sandy said on Twitter on February 3 that she was disappointed to hear Adam's comments about their time working together. "Yep...was sad to hear that from Adam," she tweeted, adding that his second season on Below Deck Med was all about "redemption" for the chef. "Hope he learned from his [Below Deck Med] experience and brought something special to #BelowDeckSailing."

Adam opened up more about working with Captain Glenn during an interview with The Daily Dish on February 3 in New York City. "Glenn was awesome. I had absolutely no qualms with Glenn in any way, shape, or form. He nailed it as a captain for me," he shared. "I just want a captain that trusts us."

He added, "Glenn was awesome. I'd work for him again in a heartbeat."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht chief stew Jenna MacGillivray also has a lot of love for Captain Glenn. "He's definitely not a micromanager. He trusts the heads of department," she told The Daily Dish during the same interview with Adam. "I like that he knows when to be stern, but overall, he's approachable, he's lovely."

Adam even went so far as to call Captain Glenn "one of my favorite captains I've ever worked for" during his appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on February 3. "He really puts a lot of trust into the crew," Adam explained. "He says, 'You know what, I hired you guys for a reason. You're great at your job. Go for it.'"
