Carl Radke Apologized to Lindsay Hubbard for Their Breakup at BravoCon 2023: Details

Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke had a somewhat "awkward" run-in at BravoCon 2023, which took place in Las Vegas from November 3 to 5. At the Bravolebrity-studded event, the Summer House exes sat down for a November 4 event at the Paris Theater called BravoCon Live With Andy Cohen! Charming House Rules.

The sitdown came a couple of months after Lindsay and Carl— who got engaged in August 2022—called off their wedding. In Las Vegas, Carl took the opportunity to apologize to his former fiancée, who said that she was "blindsided" by their breakup.

"I just want to say this," Carl said. "I'm sorry because I understand the sanctity of an engagement and all that, I'm sorry that I hurt Lindsay." He continued: "But at the end of the day, I really do believe that this decision is going to be better and healthier for the both of us." (Watch it unfold in the clip above.)

Earlier in the discussion, host Andy Cohen had asked the former lovebirds: "I mean, Lindsay and Carl, you're here. Is it awkward being onstage together? ... I know you're not really seeing each other anymore."

Carl admitted "It's a little awkward. But we're here, and we're gonna try and it get through it." 

Lindsay wasn't totally on board with that response. "He likes to speak in we's, I like to speak in me's," she said. After cheers from the audience, Lindsay added: "There's not a we anymore, just to clarify."

Andy added: "I guess the narrative has been that Carl blindsided you." Lindsay affirmed that she did indeed feel blindsided by the split, but Carl indicated that the couple had been working through some issues for a while. 

"We've been in couple's therapy since November 2022, there have been—in my opinion—some concerns," he said. Lindsay's response? "I mean, come on," she said. 

Lindsay continued to share why the breakup came as a surprise to her, noting that she'd had her bridal shower two weeks before he called things off, and that she had been having her dress fitted while Carl was tailoring his suit. "The entire summer we were planning our wedding, there was no indication whatsoever that he wanted to call it off. So yes, I was blindsided," she said.
